So now it is acceptable to members as long as they are getting something and the owner told them they are closing even though anyone under $1 for instance on that one site won't be paid? I am really confused now.

It seems members accept more and more abuse from sites and find it acceptable anymore as long as they get something. Even abused it seems. I see sites that pay that the owners are abusive and members make excuses such as they are just speaking their mind or so and so deserved it.

Doesn't everyone deserve to be treated with respect and be doesn't everyone deserve to be paid when a site closes? The members did not choose to close the site so why should those who did not earn $1 not be paid?

Guess it just dumbfounds me at what is acceptable anymore.

How to give a Cat a Pill:

1. Pick up cat and cradl e it in the crook of your left arm as if holdi ng a baby. Posit ion right foref inger and thumb on eithe r side of cat' s mouth and gentl y apply press ure to cheek s while holdi ng pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth , pop pill into mouth . Allow cat to close mouth and swall ow.

2. Retri eve pill from floor and cat from behin d sofa. Cradl e cat in left arm and repea t proce ss.

3. Retri eve cat from bedro om, and throw soggy pill away.

4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradl e cat in left arm, holdi ng rear paws tight ly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right foref inger . Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

5. Retri eve pill from goldf ish bowl and cat from top of wardr obe. Call spous e from garde n.

6. Kneel on floor with cat wedge d firml y betwe en knees , hold front and rear paws. Ignor e low growl s emitt ed by cat. Get spous e to hold head firml y with one hand while forci ng woode n ruler into mouth . Drop pill down ruler and rub cat' s throa t vigor ously .

7. Retri eve cat from curta in rail, get anoth er pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repai r curta ins. Caref ully sweep shatt ered figur ines and vases from heart h and set to one side for gluin g later .

8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spous e to lie on cat with head just visib le from below armpi t. Put pill in end of drink ing straw , force mouth open with penci l and blow down drink ing straw .

9. Check label to make sure pill not harmf ul to human s, drink 1 beer to take taste away. Apply Band- Aid to spous e's forea rm and remov e blood from carpe t with cold water and soap.

10. Retri eve cat from neigh bor' s shed. Get anoth er pill. Open anoth er beer. Place cat in cupbo ard, and close door onto cat' s neck, leavi ng head showi ng. Force mouth open with desse rt spoon . Flick pill down throa t with elast ic band.

11. Fetch screw drive r from garag e and put cupbo ard door back on hinge s. Drink beer. Fetch bottl e of scotc h. Pour shot, drink . Apply cold compr ess to cheek and check recor ds for date of last tetan us shot. Apply whisk ey compr ess to cheek to disin fect. Toss back anoth er shot. Throw Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedro om.

12. Call fire depar tment to retri eve the darn cat from acros s the road. Apolo gize to neigh bor who crash ed into fence while swerv ing to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.

13. Tie the littl e & % ^ $ *#'s front paws to rear paws with garde n twine and bind tight ly to leg of dinin g table , find heavy - duty pruni ng glove s from shed. Push pill into mouth follo wed by large piece of filet steak . Be rough about it. Hold head verti cally and pour 2 pints of water down throa t to wash pill down.

14. Consu me remai nder of scotc h. Get spous e to drive you to the emerg ency room, sit quiet ly while docto r stitc hes finge rs and forea rm and remov es pill remna nts from right eye. Call furni ture shop on way home to order new table .

15. Arran ge for SPCA to colle ct mutan t cat from hell and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamst ers.

How To Give A Dog A Pill:

1. Wrap it in bacon .

2. Toss it in the air.

I don't know, I think it has more to do with the face that at least some members are getting something for their last payout. In their mind, something is better than nothing. And I also imagine they are just glad that they were notified ahead of time that the site is closing. We all know how many sites in the past have done runners overnight, so it brings closure (pun intended) to know when a site you're a member of is closing.

Just my 2 cents.

I have been reading on several forums constant complaints from people about bux sites closing and people not being paid or ripped off. What is it that lures people to join these sites?

I guess I take the wait and see approach to joining any site (unless it looks like something I am interested in and I join out of curiousity) but I always take the wait and see approach to promoting a site. So I don't get what the lure is.

This goes for other sites as well but it seems so many are running and joining high payout sites and not takiing into consideration that the site will be gone tomorrow. Or is it you all know that and take a chance?

I am not a big risk taker and guess since I got ripped off by so many sites when I got into ptr years ago I just don't get the lure. I would think with all the complaints people would stay away but they don't.

So what is it?

I think I would pretty much have the things rbn mentioned and might also give some kind of reward to the member who does the most advertising on the site, not including free advertising of course. And maybe a special prize banner.

If a had a site it would have a mixture of ads, several PTC sections, PTP eventually after the site was up and running for awhile. I would also have the Trivia Game, Hangman-as many members really like that game. Magic Wand Game and maybe a few others.

I would have a strict advertising policy as to what sites would be allowed. Also Upgrades at sustainable prices of course. Maybe even offer a free upgrade to a certain number of members. Strict policy on countries allowed to help with the cheating problem as some countries are always known for cheating. I would also have an Admin who has prior experience with helping run a site and someone I could trust. They would get a very nice advertising package for helping on the site.

I would of course have a banned list which pretty much follows GPTB's list until the owners contact me with proof they are not doing what got them on that list in the first place. Plus more, as members would have input on what they would want to see on the site.

Also the list would be updated as needed according to sites running nasties, ptp's within ptp's, double rotators as well. That list would be a temp list until the sites cleaned up their acts. if it continued it would be a final ban and nothing would be accepted for the site. If the would be behind in payouts they would be supnded from having their sites seen on mine until they were caught up with all payments in full.

I would also have special perks added for paid upgraded members, like NO turing numbers, discounts on advertising and higher earnings on the PTP.

With all that being said though I do not think I would want to be a site owner as I have seen a lot of the headaches that PO's have to deal with. Too much for me.
