Post Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time ended at 2 am this morning. Did you all remember to set your clocks back?

I always get so confused when the clocks are changed. I wish they would leave it alone.

This year in the US daylight saving time had 3 weeks extra in it. It began two weeks early and ended a week later. Not sure what Bush's logic was but I assume it supposedly made sense to someone lol....

I remembered to set mine.  I wish they'd leave things alone too.  We didn't even observe DST until last year and the powers that be in the State changed it....Of course I can't really say I didn't enjoy the extra daylight in the evening...

There was an article a few days back in the Wall Street Journal that did a study in Indiana, and they actually use more power during day light savings time.   It's due to needing more heat and a/c.

I keep mine on a constant temperature because I don't believe that turning it down at night thing saves anything because the furnace or a/c has to run twice a long when you turn it back up so it really defeats the purpose IMO.

I don't turn mine down or up either.  The only time I do is I'm going away for a few days.  I don't like turning it down at night because I have two kids who kick off the blankets.  I'd rather pay a few extra dollars than go without.

BTW--everyone ready for DST.  It is this Sat. night/Sun morning.  Way to soon if you ask me!

Well for the most part I observed it.

Today however, I realized just why I have been feeling off.  Especially walking from one end of the house to the other.

My computer has Indiana for the setting on the time.... well, it was an hour behind the rest of our part of Indiana lol.  Said 230 and when I looked at clock in kitchen was 330.  No wonder I have felt off.

Needless to say, I fixed that.  At least I hope I am on the right time now.

I grew up here in Indiana. For over 30 years no change in time.  Whats this the third year now?  I still have not gotten used to it.  Wish they would have left us alone.

Not only has the energy study been done, but the auto insurance companies have done one as well.  Seems there are more accidents the week following time change than any other time of year.  Hello, that should tell folks something you would think.
