Post Ad Writing - Do's and Don'ts

I thought a discussion on ad writing might be fun to put together.

A few things I think are important on effective ad writing are:

Do's
Write a good headline that will catch your reader's attention
Create Interest - You have their attention with the headline now to create interest.
You can create interest in many ways. Solve a problem, Quote a fact, use information that will generate interest.
Create Desire - Give them something to "feel" about the ad.
Tell them the action you would like them to take.
Include all information
Proofread your ad. Spelling whether you think it is important or not someone will!
Present the ad in a pleasant format, Keep all information and forumatting consistent.
Get feedback from others on your ad copy.
Test your ad.

Don'ts
Don't give fradulent infomation
Don't Give up - If your ad doesn't pull after a fair exposure, try re-writing it. One or two different words may do the trick.
Don't cut and paste from a website
Don't use all caps in your ad.

Ok now I am sure there are many mre do's and don'ts you can all ad to this but here is some things I think are important essentials in ad writing.

I have heard quite a few tell me that by putting some key personal experiences about a site in the ad copy has worked very well. They also tell me to keep it short and to the point. For example, ads sent quickly, payouts done on time... or shipped the same day as ordered, how the product arrived, the quality and such.

Something I think has become a no when once it was looked on with integrity is the use of the words honest w/m, nice, and words along those lines.  I think as far as ptr is concerned, its been over used and draws a "uh huh another one" reaction weather the w/m is truely honest or not.

Just my thoughts.

No I agree with you on this. Seems there are to many ads with false claims when they come out. It would be nice to see more honest ads. I wonder how many times I have seen an ad that says Great PO pays fast and the program shuts down with members all hollering this great PO didn't pay them lol.....

I have seen to much of it on forums especially with people being dishonest to build downlines. The only person who makes anything is the promoter. Sadly....
